The basic target of science education is developing the science and technological literacy of educatee. The nature of science is an important part of the science and technological literacy, and now helping students to understand science through it's nature has become a hot topic in international science education. Improving the nature of science of all citizen (undergraduates included) has become a strategy for all statesman. But current education system in china made insufficient science and technological literacy for arts students, so study their situation become an interesting topic.It has two purposes of this paper: one is understanding the current situation of science and technological literacy for arts students, the other is discussing how to perform education of the nature of science through physical education.This paper contains four major parts:Firstly ,it propose what kind of NOS the students of arts should have base on philosophical origination, history of science education and latest production of research.Secondly, make a survey on NOS of arts undergraduate. The results show their NOS need to be improved. Design a method on how to enhance NOS in physical education.Thirdly, after put the method into practice, make a survey again (include face to face interview), analysis the data through SPSS 13.0 software, it conclude the method will conducive to prompt NOS of students and it can be popularize.In the end, it put forward some instructional suggestion about how to promote NOS in physical education.The main research methods this paper adopted include literature search, questionnaire survey, interview method and analytical method.
