In the development stage of China's economy entering the new normal,transformation has become the most important theme for traditional retail enterprises at present,and continuous innovation of business model and reengineering of operation model will become the law for retail enterprises to survive.HC company's retail business unit is one of the large retail supermarket chain enterprises in China,in the face of great pressure,the HC company made transformation strategy for retail business unit,therefore,HC company designed the competent quality model for management personnel,HC company executives want to design a training program for store general manager,through this program to help nearly 600 large store retail business unit general manager competency to ascend.This paper will with HC company store general manager competency model as the foundation,analyzed competency requirements from company's strategic transformation for HC general manager,diagnosis the status quo of HC company store general manager competency,through than find the gap and problems between demands and the status quo,so as to define the competence upgrade project goals,and give the project design plan,implementation strategy and other recommendations.The research objective of this paper is to help HC to find specific methods to improve its general competency.So first based on the development of competence and training theory and practice,through a large number of survey data analysis,help HC company clear about the specific needs of competence improve for store general manager:elevates the consumer insight,operational excellence,leading change,the pursuit of innovation,challenge the higher,lead team,fast learning.On this basis,through the 360° questionnaire survey and analysis,the current status of the 7 competencies of the store manager was diagnosed,and the gap between the current status and the demand was finally found,and the problems were pointed out:the store manager has a lot of self-restraint and insufficient self-renewal ability;Business work is far away from customers and is too extensive;Outstanding individual professionalism without giving full play to team strength;Lack of management and leadership for innovation and change.Based on these key issues,four general goals for improving HC store manager's competency were set:First,establish store manager's correct self-recognition,step out of the comfort zone,and challenge for higher performance.Second,help the store general manager master the business strategies and methods of consumer orientation and lean operation;Third,assist the general manager to attach importance to team decision-making,use diverse leadership styles to create a good organizational atmosphere and establish a high-performance store team;Fourth,help the store general manager to comprehensively sort out the management points of innovation and reform,and gradually understand and master the essence of innovation and reform in learning and working practice.Based on the above research results,this paper puts forward the plan framework and specific promotion plan for the improvement of HC store general manager's competency,and puts forward four modules' promotion Suggestions,including the goal,content,method and tool of each module's promotion.At the end of the paper,the prospect and suggestion of improving the competence of HC store general manager are put forward,and the deficiency of the paper was pointed out.
