Research On The Development Potential Of Rural Tourism In Xinzhou City

Rural tourism has been booming all over the world.Xinzhou city has become a national demonstration zone of all-for-one tourism in which rural tourism plays a very important role.The development of counties in Xinzhou is not balanced.Therefore,more attention should be paid to the development of rural tourism.On the basis of the literature,the evaluation index system of rural tourism development potential has been constructed.By collecting the relevant data of 14 counties(downtown)in Xinzhou,the paper makes an evaluation of Xinzhou's tourism development potential,calculates the scores and sorts them.The 14 counties have been divided into three levels according to the score.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Establish the main factors that influence the rural tourism development potential through the literature.Then,use the Delphi method to select and modify the index system.Thus the evaluation model has been established,which includes 3 system levels,namely tourism resources,development foundation,rural economy and ecological environment as well as 24 evaluation indexes.(2)Use Analytic Network Process to determine the index weight and Maximum Difference Normalization method to make the contestant indexes quantitative uniform.The 14 counties'(downtown)rural tourism development potential in Xinzhou can be divided into three levels,Wutai area with the highest rural tourism development potential.The second level includes Xinfu area,Yuanping,Daixian,Fanshi,Ningwu and Kelan.The third level includes Dingxiang,Jingle,Shenchi,Wuzhai,Pianguan,Hequ and Baode.Finally,the difference of rural tourism development of the 14 counties has been analyzed from the angle of system level.(3)Put forward specific countermeasures and ideas for the development in view of the three potential areas.The high and intermediate potential areas should continue to improve the regional rural tourism infrastructure,increase the intensity of developing the rural tourism market,and actively promote the soft power,such as tourism management and service.The low potential zone should be combined with the national policy——targeted poverty alleviation to cultivate the rural tourism development potential.
