| Along with the continuous development of the world economy, the tourism industry hasgradually occupied a pivotal role and position. In the rapid development and deepening processof tourism, the unique rural tourism resources is increasingly becoming a targeted direction. Asthe object of rural tourism exploitation, the rural tourism resource is an important basis andfoundation for its development. Currently the local governments all take the exploitation oftourism resources as highlights and growth potentiality of tourism development, and thereasonable evaluation and integration of tourism resources are key parts. Hence, how to integratethe rural tourism resources, how to reduce the negative effects during resources exploitation andhow to keep the sustainable development of rural tourism are important problems needed tosolve.The paper takes the whole region of Fujian province as research unit, and aims to integrateand optimize the rural tourism resources in this area. Focused on rural tourism resourcesevaluation and integration, this paper is divided into six chapters. Firstly, the backgrounds ofrural tourism development both at the nation level and within Fujian are analyzed, thus thecurrent situation and future trends of rural tourism development are clear; Then, we findproblems on the academic research of rural tourism development both at home and abroad; Afterthat, we build an evaluation index system of the rural tourism resources on the basis ofinvestigations and assess of the rural tourism resources in Fujian province with the qualitativeand quantitative method. Combined with the evaluation results and the SWOT analysis, thepaper analyzes the deeper problems faced by Fujian province when it integrates the rural tourismresources; and we put forward policy advices on the integration of rural tourism resources,improving the supporting facilities and perfecting management system.
