In recent years, the rising price of journal publishers' database resources and repeat charging have brought heavy burden to scientific research institutes and academic researchers. The movement of open access(OA)is to clear the obstruction of knowledge dissemination for scholars and improve the efficiency of the academic exchanges. So,the OA movement has been booming in last decade. The year 2020 is an important year for the open access movement. The OA movement in various countries is in full swing. The European Union has said that it will realize the open access to all scientific research papers by 2020 to improve the competitiveness of science and technology.Open access has also demonstrated the advantages of the coronavirus(COVID-19)outbreak in 2020.China national knowledge network issued the initiative of "novel coronavirus infected pneumonia" academic paper OA publishing.Subsequently, many academic platforms issued similar proposals to publish the latest paper related to COVID-19 in OA,which greatly shortened the publishing cycle, improved the efficiency of the dissemination of paper ideas and their application in practice, and helped to overcome the epidemic. But open access movement in China started late, the developments of open access in different academic institutions and research fields are not balanced, and the understanding of open access is not comprehensive in our country. Therefore,it is necessary to quantify the current degree of open access academic journals in China and the advantages of open access journals' citation and transmission also need further research.Taking 20 journals in library and information science for example, this paper proposes to do research into the current OA status and advantages of OA on index evaluation and knowledge dissemination. This research provides theoretical reference for researches in other subjects and the formulation of open access policies.Firstly, the status on open access of 20 journals indexed by Chinese Social Science Citation Index(CSSCI)in Library and Information Science(LIS)were researched. These journals were divided into 2 categories according to their open access status, and the changes and trends of the 2 categories of journals were compared in different time windows. This study also to verify the citation advantage and sustainable advantage in OA.Secondly, this paper collects citation data of all 2849 articles published in Library and Information Work from 2013 to 2018,compares the publication volume and citation of OA and non-OA articles annually, and then explores the generation of OA citation in detail from three aspects: the click-through volume of articles, the citation situation in the first three years and the time required for the first citation in the unit of "month".Thirdly, the status quo of green open access in China is analyzed and evaluated.Based on the collection of 6,745 articles from 20 selected journals in the LIS field in National Social Sciences Database, the Knowledge Commons of National Science Library and the ixueshu.com,the current status and deficiencies of the construction of the green OA platform were analyzed. At the same time, the personal homepages and personal websites of 198 LIS scholars were searched to study the access of academic achievements in individual websites.Lastly, this paper proposes a new way based on the social network analysis method to study about OA journals and knowledge dissemination. The knowledge transmission network diagram of 20 selected journals was drawn, and the knowledge transmission mode of these journals was analyzed by using UCINET software.Journals were classified and ranked to explore the role of OA in knowledge exchange.Furthermore, based on the analysis of sub-groups formed in the knowledge dissemination of LIS journal, suggestions are provided for the development of the journals.
