Research On Knowledge Communication In Altmetrics Field From The Perspective Of Citation

Altmetrics is a research hotspot that has emerged in the field of international scientometrics in recent years and has attracted the attention of a large number of scholars,including the winners of the Price Prize.The use of citation analysis technology to investigate the production and dissemination of knowledge in this field will not only help us to enhance our understanding of the field itself,but also help to discover the influencing factors and laws in the process of professional knowledge dissemination.Different from other related studies,this article mainly examines the process of knowledge production and dissemination in the Altmetrics field from the perspective of citations.The main content can be divided into four parts:(1)Analysis of the current status and development direction of the topic of knowledge production and consumption in the Altmetrics field at home and abroad.Compare.(2)Identify important knowledge producers and consumers in the field of Altmetrics at home and abroad,and discuss their co-authors separately using visual atlas.(3)Explore the main knowledge production institutions and knowledge consumption institutions in the Altmetrics field at home and abroad,and observe the distribution pattern of global knowledge production and consumption according to the region where the institutions are located.(4)Investigate important knowledge production journals and knowledge consumption journals in the field of Altmetrics at home and abroad,map the journals to disciplines,and identify the main knowledge production disciplines and knowledge consumption disciplines.(5)Summarize the laws presented in the process of knowledge dissemination in the field of Altmetrics at home and abroad and refine them into research conclusions with a certain generality.This article finds:(1)The content of research in the field of Altmetrics at home and abroad is different.Foreign countries have made great progress in the empirical study of Altmetrics,and there are more discussions on the content and philosophy of Altmetrics in China.The future development direction of Altmetrics may start from the specific applications of Altmetrics in different scenarios,the reliability and availability of related indicators,and so on.(2)Several relatively stable cooperation teams have been formed in the field of Altmetrics at home and abroad.The representative scholars in the field of international Altmetrics are Thelwall,Mike and Bornmann,Lutz,and the representative domestic scholars are Qiu Junping and Zhao Rongying.(3)Universities are the main research forces in the field of Altmetrics at home and abroad,Wolverhampton University is an important research institution in the field of Altmetrics abroad,and Wuhan University is an important research institution in the field of Altmetrics in China.From the perspective of the global distribution of Altmetrics,North America has the dominant position,followed by Asia.Domestic research in the field of Altmetrics is mainly distributed in Hubei Province and Beijing.(4)Journals in the field of Altmetrics at home and abroad are still in the stage of "selfproduction and self-sale",and their ability to radiate knowledge to other journals outside the professional field is limited.Related foreign achievements are mainly published on SCIENTOMETRICS,and domestically,they are mainly published on Library and Information Service.The production and consumption disciplines of Altmetrics domain knowledge have a wide range of sources,and information science,philology,and computer science are the main disciplines that promote the development of the field.The research conclusions of this article are:(1)Expert groups play an extremely important role in the production and dissemination of professional knowledge.They have a keen academic vision and can discover the value of new knowledge in time and promote its dissemination in the professional field.(2)Academic exchanges and cooperation are of positive significance to the germination and dissemination of professional knowledge.It not only helps to improve the efficiency of knowledge production,but also helps to enhance the complementarity of different research teams,optimize the allocation of resources,and promote knowledge innovation.(3)Citation enhancement technology is an effective field analysis method,which not only helps to discover expert groups,but also helps to discover the key factors affecting the dissemination of professional knowledge by tracking expert evaluation information,thereby predicting the frontier of the field.
