For a long time,China's TV variety shows have been in a state of "fetching doctrine" and "pan-entertainment." At the same time,the plight of weak originality and homogeneity has become a difficult problem for the television industry.With the development of China's society and economy,people's demand for spiritual culture is constantly increasing,and the country's related cultural policies are promoted,major TV stations have strengthened the production of TV cultural programs,and a number of outstanding TV cultural programs have emerged on TV screens.Among them,reading aloud cultural variety shows are popular and praised once they are launched.The read-aloud program "Seeing the Word Like a Face",which was launched at the end of 2016,is called "a clear stream of variety shows." The development of this type of program,cultural variety shows entered the 2.0 era.In particular,"Letters Alive" and "The Reader" as a representative cultural reading variety shows have become a new bright spot in the cultural variety show market.They put "The Reader" as a separate form on TV screens,and used interviews,light performances and other forms to change the stereotypes of traditional reading programs.The reading culture and national spirit they conveyed were recognized by the audience and read aloud.The rise of cultural-like variety shows also heralded the arrival of the "content era."This article will take reading aloud representatives "Letters Alive" and "The Reader" as examples to summarize the reading aloud cultural variety shows and traditional reading cultural programs,and compare and analyze the two from multiple angles.Summarize the characteristics and innovations of reading cultural variety shows,analyze the current challenges of reading cultural variety shows,and put forward constructive suggestions for existing problems.
