Research On Peer Education Service Of University Library

Peer education has achieved remarkable results in the fields of subject education,medical and health education,and is developing in other fields.With the increasing demand of university students for libraries,university libraries need to carry out innovative services in order to adapt to the new situation and the requirements of development.University library is the place where students learn knowledge,and it can be used as the second classroom for university students.Peer education service is also suitable for university library,and it can integrate and develop new services and redesign existing services from the perspective quality of library service.This paper investigates the status of peer education service in foreign university libraries,and summarizes the successful experiences of peer education service in foreign university libraries.Then,investigates the present situation of peer education service of university library in China,and analyzes the problems existing in peer education service of university library in China.Then through learning the successful experience of foreign countries and combining with the actual situation of peer education service in university libraries in China,this paper puts forward the implementation strategies of peer education in university libraries in China.The peer education service of university library is divided into three stages: primary stage,intermediate stage and advanced stage.According to the different stages of development,there should be a suitable service form.The development of peer education service also needs to establish a perfect management mechanism,including peer educator recruitment,training,peer educators and educated rights protection,peer mutual assistance in the resolution of contradictions.Also expand cooperation with other agencies to ensure the continuity of peer education services.Reasonable and effective peer education service implementation strategy can improve the service quality of our university library and promote the innovation of our university library service.
