With the development of microwave communication technologies such as radar systems,electronic reconnaissance and confrontation,the requirements for various specifications such as volume,weight,reliability and life of high-powered synthetic devices are getting higher and higher.The directional coupler is a widely used microwave component that can be used in systems such as amplitude control systems,power distribution/synthesizers,and so on.According to market demand,there are more and more forms of directional couplers.The reliability research of coupler has become one of the key research directions of electronic system engineers.This paper studies the reliability of power synthesizer with L-band strip line structure.At present,the space power synthesis technology based on waveguide is one of the main means to realize power synthesis,but its large volume can not meet the needs of small size and light weight.The microstrip line has the advantages of small size,light weight and compact structure.However,its low power capacity cannot meet the demand of high power.Therefore,based on the strip line coupling method,the reliability of L-band high-power synthesis devices is studied.With ANSYS,ADS and HFSS simulation software,some important performance parameters such as insertion loss,isolation and standing wave of power synthesizer are analyzed.Firstly,this paper described the development of power synthesizers and directional couplers and the dynamics at home and abroad.Then,the advantages and disadvantages of the three types of microstrip lines,strip lines and waveguides are compared,and finally chooses the scheme of strip line directional couplers.Through the simulation calculation of the HFSS simulation software,the power synthesis in the L-band four-in-one is realized by the structure of the strip line,and the physical object is finally obtained through engineering conversion.The reliability of the physical object is verified by the RF network analyzer and the reliability test box.After the reliability analysis and improvement,the production qualification rate of the four-in-one power synthesizer reaches 100%.According to the customer demand for processing,120 products are processed and tested.Each power synthesizers meets the requirements set by the user: working environment-45 °C ~ 60 °C,insertion loss less than 0.4 dB,synthetic port standing wave less than 1.25,the input port standing wave is less than 1.2,and the isolation of the four input ports is greater than 25 dB.
