In recent years,the demand of TV audiences for variety shows has become more diversified and they pay more attention to the cultural quality and spiritual connotation of the shows.Therefore,cultural innovation reality shows are increasingly popular and become a hot topic of discussion.This paper takes the cultural innovation reality show "Shang Xin Le·Forbidden City" as the research object,takes the narrative theory as the basic framework,and makes an analogy from the aspects of narrative content,narrative skills,narrative characteristics by using the method of case analysis and the method of content analysis to propose a narrative strategy to improve the communication effect of cultural innovation programs.The research finds out that this program has the characteristics of cultural innovation.The narrative of the program is multi-angle,the narrative characteristics of the program is constructed by the combination of the virtual and the real characters,the flexible transformation of the perspective change,the diversified audio-visual language,and the narrative perspective of edutainment.However,There are some problems in this program.the narrative content is stereotyped and homogenized,the narrative method is overwhelming,leading to the shift of the narrative center of gravity;the interactive communication channel is single and the narrative communication utility is weak.In this regard,this paper puts forward some improvement measures from the aspects of setting up the site user exchange,digging into the historical depth of the Palace Museum,and realizing the application of all-media communication.
