A wireless sensor network(WSN)is a self-organizing network deployed by a large-scale sensor node device to perform specific tasks in a specific area.Sensor nodes can collect data and transmit data to the base station, and users can obtain related information through terminal devices.Due to the large number of sensor nodes, which are usually randomly deployed in areas with harsh environments, node devices cannot replace batteries. Therefore, how to improve the energy utilization rate of the entire wireless sensor network, reduce the energy consumption of sensor nodes, and extend the service life of the network is currently hot topics in wireless sensor network research. Many scholars began to focus on clustered routing protocols, and proposed many classic clustered routing protocols, which have made great contributions to reducing network energy consumption. However, the existing clustered routing protocols have certain limitations.Based on reading related literature, this article has made several improvements to the defects of classic routing protocols, and proposed two energy-optimized routing protocols. The main work of this article is as follows:First,a new energy-optimized WSN unequal cluster routing algorithm(NEW-EOCA algorithm)is designed from the perspective of distributed wireless sensor networks. The NEW-EOCA algorithm uses a time competition mechanism to elect the cluster head. The waiting time of a node depends on the historical energy consumption factor and comprehensive distance factor of the node, which optimizes the election process of the cluster head. After the cluster construction is completed, the multi-hop communication method is used to transmit the data collected by the sensor nodes to the base station, and the relay node adopts two methods: intra-cluster relay and inter-cluster relay, thereby constructing a communication path to transmit data to the base station. The network adopts a new energy threshold as a standard for network re-clustering.By reducing the number of network clustering times, the energy consumption of control messages distributed between networks is reduced. The experiment passed the OMNET ++ platform verification, and confirmed that the NEW-EOCA protocol can effectively reduce network energy consumption and prolong the service life of the network. Then considering that the sensor nodes need to exchange a large amount of information with each other during the network clustering process and the path construction process, which causes excessive control message energy consumption. Therefore,we combine software-defined networks with wireless sensor networks to form software-defined wireless sensor network routing protocols.(SD-UCRA protocol). The protocol realizes the decoupling of the data layer and the control layer, and the base station performs cluster head election, network clustering, and routing control. The base station elects cluster head nodes through an improved particle swarm algorithm, which optimizes the cluster head election process. The base station calculates its corresponding competition radius according to the selected cluster head node, and plans a data transmission path. The results of the calculation are sent to the corresponding nodes to complete the cluster establishment and data transmission operations.Simulation results show that SD-UCRA protocol can reduce network energy consumption and effectively prolong the service life of the network.
