Sensor network is a kind of computer network that composed of many automatic devices. The software defined wireless sensor network is different from the distributed sensor network, and the idea of centralized control is introduced. How to reduce energy consumption of wireless sensor network has been a big challenge because wireless sensor nodes are constrained in energy supply even in software defined wireless sensor network. In order to further improve the energy consumption of software-defined wireless sensor networks under the framework of software-defined sensor networks, this paper proposes a local control mechanism.Based on the idea of software-defined,the network is divided into sub-regions and a local controller, which realizes the hierarchical management and routing of the network will be selected for each local area. The main contributions are as follows:Firstly,a new network clustering algorithm named "Dynamic Critical Distance Clustering" is proposed to separate large network nodes.Secondly,a local controller will be selected according to "Group Energy" for each cluster, and a new routing mechanism based on local controller is proposed to save energy.Compared with the existing clustering routing mechanism, this proposed clustering routing mechanism based on local controller has shown advantages in prolonging network life and reducing network energy consumption.Thirdly, this routing mechanism for software-defined wireless sensor network system is designed and built on the "Raspberry Pi" development platform, and network management platform based on 'Django' is designed and developed to monitor network topology status and sensor data.
