In recent years, the issue of ecological environment has attracted the attention of the whole society, and "ecological civilization" has been written into the amendment of the Constitution, which has been highly valued by the state. This study focuses on the contradictions and conflicts between economic development and ecological environment in resource-based cities.Based on the topic-building theory proposed by Lang and his wife, this paper makes a diachronic study of the ecological environment-related reports in the local media of Gujiao from 1988 to 2018,focusing on how the local media construct the ecological issues.Based on the historical analysis of the construction of ecological issues, this paper puts forward the countermeasures of local media ecological issues in resource-based cities in the context of multi-media.It is divided into three parts:introduction, text and conclusion. The first part is introduction. In this part, the significance of topic selection and research background of this paper are discussed.Through combing the related literature of topic construction, theoretical support is provided for this study, and the research methods adopted in this study are determined. The second part is the first and second chapters. This part mainly explores how Gujiao local media construct ecological issues through text analysis of local media ecological environment reports.First, grasp the overall picture of ecological issues in local media from the macro level. This part mainly focuses on the media. The social context, sources, contents and perspectives of the report are analyzed.Secondly, the characteristics of the ecological issues under the construction of local media in different periods and the experiences of the environmental issues under the national, market and social perspectives are analyzed from the micro level. The third part is the third chapter, which is the summary of this study, focusing on the deep logic of the construction of media issues, the three main social forces behind the construction of ecological issues, economic benefits, national policies, and social emotions. The structure is analyzed separately, and the problems existing in the construction of local media ecological issues in resource-based cities are reflected,as well as the enlightenment to the construction of today's ecological issues.Through the historic investigation and study of the local media's ecological environment related reports in the past 30 years,we can find that the local media actually plays the role of the platform for displaying and exchanging various views of the society in the process of constructing the ecological issues. Therefore,we can see that the ecological environment issues under the construction of the local media in Gujiao are r complex,is no longer the natural sense of the ecological" issues, but highly related to the stage of local political and economic development, and it also integrates the emotional structure of the whole society changes in the ecological issues. If the media want to play a good role in the process of topic construction, they need to give full play to the power of the media to balance the contradictions and conflicts among various social forces.Otherwise, the construction of ecological issues will be problematic.Through the research,we can find problems of the media construction. The main problems include environmental justice, publicity and local subjectivity have not been well highlighted. And overemphasis on science and technology has caused the distortion of ecological scientificity. Therefore,in the context of multi-media,if the media want to re-shape the audience's understanding of the relationship between man and nature,it needs to give full play to the role of the media in balancing various social forces.
