Network Media Research On The Construction Of Smog Issues

In nearly half a century,the deterioration of the environment around the world has aroused the concern of many scholars.Some scholars introduced the theory of constructivism in it during they were researching environment problem.They regard environmental issues as a dynamical process,and analyze them from construction subject,construction path and the purpose of construction.For example,John Hannigan,a sociologist,considers that core researching task of the creation and development when environment problem evolves into a social issues.Because this process is not set by a specific agenda,it usually does not follow a specific research guidelines.It needs social action subject,such as scientists,politicians,journalists,environmental protection volunteers and industrialists,put forward views to promote the process of construction.From the perspective of communication,the construction process of environmental problems involves all aspects in the relation of communication disseminator,communication medium and communication audience.It is certain that,whether traditional media or Internet media,the purpose of constructing the environmental issue as a public issue is to force the public to pursue responsibility,and ultimately promote to solve environmental problem.The role in construction of mass media is same applies to the haze issue which caused a widely public attention in recent years.In January 2013,a wide range of haze has spread in Middle East of China,causing a serious air pollution among Beijing,Tianjin,Hebei,Shandong,Shanxi,Jiangsu and other places for more than ten days.Haze problem,as the representative of the air pollution problem,has become a focus concern in society.Haze,as the main form of air pollution issues,has public nature itself.It must have different construction methods and characteristics when different different express people express their views for it.With the rapid development of mass media and the increasing of communication means,network media make a increasingly strong influence by huge information and other advantages in the spread of environmentalissues.The construction of Internet media on haze issue has many times characteristics,and has influenced the public's perception and response to environmental problems.Compared with traditional media,how many new changes do haze issues reports have under the internet background of Internet media? What are the new features in the constructing process of the issue? what kind of impact do these characteristics make for the solution of haze and other environmental problems? These are the core tasks discussed in this paper.This study is in the perspective of network communication,based on the theory of constructivism,frame theory,agenda setting theory and so on,and takes a analysis of Sina haze by qualitative and quantitative methods from 2012 to 2015.This study is conducted to find out the existing problems and causes,and further exploring the optimization path of network media in the future environmental communication,by analyzing the framework,reporting characteristics and the final report effect on environmental issues.This paper is divided into the following sections: The introduction interprets the background,significance,methods,innovation point,and the current research status of scholars at home and abroad.The first chapter overviews haze reports of network media,mainly taking data analysis and statistics of Sina's haze reports and dividing them into nine types including the current situation and trend,policy measures,environmental protection knowledge popularizing,genetic analysis and so on,then go on a further study for framed-structure analysis.The second chapter is the main part of this study,discussing the construction characteristics of Internet media on environmental issues from reporting framework,agenda setting,discourse expression and other aspects.The third chapter analyzes the specific reports by text,found that there are still some problems,such as lack of constancy,independence,depth,professionalism and imbalance in public opinion space and so on,then goes on a further study for these problems.in the current network media in the dissemination of haze issues,then analyzing causes of these problems.The fourth chapter is the conclusion of this paper,on the basis of the characteristics,problems and causes ofenvironmental issue constructed by network media,to find a optimal path for constructing environmental issues from enhancing reporting strategy,guiding the public knowledge,promoting the construction of environmental protection law,paying close attention to environmental vulnerable groups and so on.
