For a long time,China's rural area has been in the state of “absence” or “absence of absence” in the mainstream discourse sphere. The lack of voice of the peasants as a vulnerable group is the key reason. However, with the popularization of smart devices and mobile Internet technologies, social media, such as short videos and live-stream broadcasts, have changed the marginalization of peasants.A group of self-media maker from rural areas have used these platforms and emerging internet technology to portray a different rural image from the stereotype of the masses. This kind of rural narrative, carried by short video and lives-stream broadcast, deconstructed the grand narrative of the mass media and replaced it with the fragmented "small narrative" to portray the meaning of everyday life of rural areas. Its immediacy and non-linear presentation also fit the current Internet user's media usage habits. However, under the current dual urban-rural pattern in China, the rural narrative from the media is actually subject to multiple factors' discipline and restriction, and cannot be completely regarded as the subjective expression of the peasants. The collection of official ideology, the commercialization of capital, and the exclusivity of urban culture all restrict the content and perspective of the media narrative from the media. At the same time,it also disintegrates the narrative subjectivity of the peasants and dispels the meaning of rural culture.Despite this, the self-media rural narrative still shows some autonomy compared with the "other" narrative in the traditional media period.By depicting the real villages,it resists the rural “stigma” of the mainstream discourse field, and in its subjective narrative,it depicts the superiority of the rural area compared with the city, trying to construct an equal urban-rural relationship. At the same time, the peasants who are the subject of the narrative also strive to present a new image different from the traditional peasants in the overall picture of the village. In this process, the media narrative from the media as a “Media Moment” deconstructed the discourse system from the capital and the official over the rural subjectivity, which gave meaning to the countryside, which also happened to provoke the rural users' feelings towards the village.Deepen its recognition of the country. This kind of subjectivity also gives endogenous power to the rural narrative, making it into the mainstream cultural circle and expanding. This promotes the cultural integration between urban and rural areas and provides a possibility for the reconciliation of urban and rural cultural conflicts.
