With the rapid development of the urban economy,the urban cultural space has been gradually showing its diversity.As a carrier of the urban cultural space,the independent bookstore is a specific space that promotes the development of reading culture and is of great significance to the development of urban culture.Independent bookstores not only offer a comfortable reading environment and create a good reading atmosphere for local citizens in the urban cultural space,but also provide an effective way to spread the reading culture through online or offline activities.From the perspective of spatial turn,taking the independent bookstore “Yichu Space” in Enshi as the research object,this thesis adopts the research approaches of participatory observation and in-depth interview and other research methods to divide the independent bookstore into three dimensions: physical space,communication space and media space.On top of that,the role of independent bookstores as urban cultural spaces in the construction and dissemination of reading culture is described and analyzed.Based on this outline,this thesis takes the structure of " General-Divide-General" :the first chapter is the first part,and it mainly descriptively introduces the independent bookstore of "Yichu Space" and analyzes its positioning in the spread of reading culture.The second part is composed of three chapters,chapter two,three and four,respectively to explore the spread of reading culture characterized by space design,interactive practice,and media promotion from three dimensions of physical space,communication space,and media space.The third part is the fifth chapter,which mainly digs into the spatial communication strategy of reading culture construction from the dimension of path innovation.Focusing on category keywords such as space,communication,interaction,independent bookstores,and reading culture,the main conclusions of this thesis are as follows:First,as an important symbol of physical space expression,space design has become a material carrier for the construction of reading culture.Therefore,as anexpression dimension of physical space,independent bookstores should highlight the diversified expressions of space architecture and internal design and show its unique space traits.Second,interactive practice,as an important element in the formation of communication space,has become a spiritual place for the spread of reading culture.Through the strengthening of interactive practice,it highlights the unique cultural communication significance of communication space.Third,media promotion as an expression of the formation of media space,has become an important channel for the spread of reading culture.Consequently,through various forms of media promotion,a media field for media space to spread reading culture is constructed.
