AMOLED(Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode)display is one of the mainstream development directions of current display technology.It has the advantages of wide color gamut,small thickness,low power consumption,high brightness,and flexible screen.At the same time,with the increase in display demand,the resolution of AMOLED display technology has also been continuously improved,the colors are more abundant,and the power consumption is lower.In the development of AMOLED display technology,the performance of the driver chip is a key factor that affects the display effect of the panel.The color processing algorithm is a data processing algorithm proposed for the characteristics of the display panel,and its processing effect determines the display quality of the image.In this paper,for the display characteristics of the AMOLED display panel with wide color gamut and high brightness,color gamut conversion and gamma correction color processing algorithms are used to enhance the image display effect.In this paper,the color gamut conversion algorithm uses the CIE-XYZ color space as a bridge to achieve conversion between different color gamuts;after simulation verification on MATLAB,the converted image is tested on the AMOLED display,and the results show that the converted color The gamut and target color gamut basically overlap.The paper also implements a non-linear data combined with a linear DAC gamma correction processing algorithm,by selecting the data bit width expansion method to complete the non-linear transformation of image data.After MATLAB verification,the non-linear transformation of the data makes the image brightness can be improved.The circuit design is based on the AMOLED display driver chip with a resolution of 1080*2160,and the color processing circuit,display control circuit,system state machine circuit,decoding circuit and interface circuit are designed.The interface circuit includes a 16-bit serial SPI interface and a parallel 16/18/24-bit RGB interface.The SPI interface is responsible for input and readout of 16-bit control data,and the RGB interface is responsible for receiving image data and converting it into a unified data format After sent to the color processing circuit.The color processing circuit includes a color gamut conversion and gamma correction circuit.After processing,the data is sent to the data latch in turn,and then converted to gray-scale voltage through 10 bit DAC,and sent to the display panel for display.Use Modelsim software to complete the simulation verification of color processing circuit,decoding circuit and interface circuit.The back-end design of the digital circuit part of the chip is used,and the static timing analysis is completed by PT(Prime Time)of Synopsys,and the physical layout design of the chip is realized based on the UMC 80 nm CMOS process.
