There are many styles of reality TV programs.The role of the host in the programs has also changed due to the changes of society,the needs of the programs,and the psychological needs of the audience.In reality TV programs,the leading and significance of the original traditional role of the host is declining,the host center system no longer exists,the host changes from the original one-way professional role to the multi-dimensional media role,and the host itself shows the phenomenon of role weakening.This paper takes the changes of the role of the host in reality TV programs in recent years as the background,and notes that the role of the host in reality TV shows is weakening at present,so it takes the form,reason and influence of the weakening role of the host as the research object.Today,with the continuous upgrading of technical means and the continuous integration of media,the program communication is gradually changing from single TV screen communication to multi screen communication.At the same time,the program form is constantly innovating,and the spiritual needs of the audience are also changing.All of these factors lead to the fact that the host is no longer mysterious,not an absolute leader;the distance between the host and the audience is shortened,and the original outsider of the program is transformed into the program participant;the host loses the discourse position,the discourse space is compressed,and the space for the role of the host is gradually reduced.Under the requirement of continuous transformation and upgrading of this kind of reality TV program,the original traditional,single and stylized hosting style is no longer suitable for the program,showing the weakening of the role of the host,and from which a variety of new forms of reality TV program hosting are derived.For the phenomenon of new hosting in this new media environment,the author sums up and analyzes the reasons and influences,and then leads to the thinking of the host industry development and the mode of training host talents in Colleges and universities,so as to make the development of reality TV programs in C hina more match with the host form,and the host can fully realize self-worth.
