In contemporary society,the role of media is undergoing a profound transformation.The decline of traditional media and the rise of digital media make variety show video content continue to become one of the important channels for people to obtain information and entertainment.However,with the popularity of social media and the rapid spread of information,variety shows and their related subjects are also facing the problem of hot search anxiety.Based on this background,this paper aims to use variety shows as a sample to study the trending anxiety phenomenon from the perspective of contemporary media role change,as well as the motivation of trending anxiety and the impact of trending anxiety on all parties in the production of video content.In terms of research methods and analysis ideas,this paper uses the in-depth interview method to conduct interviews with four subjects involved in variety shows,including audience groups,market supervisors,brand investors and video content producers.The cognition of hot search anxiety reveals the development trend of hot search anxiety under the perspective of media change,and studies and judges its influencing factors;secondly,this paper excavates market demand,platform algorithm,brand investment and audience interaction,etc.In order to better understand the causes and development trends of hot search anxiety in variety shows,and reveal the impact mechanism of these factors on hot search anxiety in variety shows;finally,based on the case study method,this paper uses "Riding the Wind and Waves" "Sister","Let’s Plant the Land,Boy","Listen,My Friends",and "Idol Trainee" analyzed the conceptual connotation and conceptual alienation of popular search anxiety in variety shows,as well as the interactive relationship between media role changes and popular search anxiety.The study found that traffic orientation makes program producers pay more attention to click-through rate and attention,and the audience’s pursuit of entertainment,emotion and recognition further promotes the generation of hot search anxiety.In addition,recommendation algorithms,rule adjustments,and changes in the network environment will also affect the formation of hot search anxiety,and audience social activities and values will also be affected by hot search topics.This kind of interactivity makes variety shows more likely to become hot topics.But at the same time,it also increases the pressure on the production side for hot search anxiety,and it is necessary to maintain the originality and diversity of the content while meeting the needs of the audience.Understanding the motivation and mechanism of hot search anxiety will help video content producers maintain content quality while meeting market demand,and find a new direction for development in the field of communication in the era of media convergence.Therefore,through the discussion of the phenomenon of "Hot Search Anxiety" in this article,we summarize the direction of media role transformation under the background of media convergence,and provide ideas for the path of variety show production products under the "Hot Search Anxiety",and provide a new perspective for the era of media convergence.The field of communication provides a reference for development.
