Withthe rapid development of science and technology,especially the communication technology in recent years,satellite communications have become an important part of the telecommunication structures around the world,providing telephone call,data transmission and video services to billions of people around the world.People continue to invest in and update systems,making the satellite communication technology develop in an increasingly perfect direction.Compared with others communication methods,the satellite communication technology has many advantages,such as function prominent,platforms varied and so on.The small satellites,which weighing less than 500 kg,have the advantages of low research and development costs,light weight,stable performance,wide signal coverage,and is not subject to geographical conditions limitations.These advantages make the small satellite communication system more popular than the large geostationary satellite.Many advantages have been highly valued by researchers and enterprisers at home and abroad.At the same time,the development of satellites towards miniaturization is also the most important development direction of the global satellite industry.The terminal host,as an important part of the small satellite communication system,carries out information communication through small satellites to realize local,regional and even global mobile phone,paging,data transmission,fax,radio positioning and other services.The main research of this paper is to develop a terminal host used in a certain type of small satellite communication system.Its requirements on volume and power consumption are more demanding than similar products in the past,and there is no mature product or platform that can be used.The development of this miniaturized low-power small satellite communication system terminal host has high development value and practical significance,and can be applied to similar products of subsequent satellite communication terminal hosts.The thesis mainly carried out the following work: Before researching this subject,first of all,the relevant information was collected and read,and various related documents and technical materials were studied,and the principles,development and current research status of small satellite communication systems were deeply understood.Secondly,the goal of this topic is to start analysis and demonstration.According to the core technical indicators such as the communication system,transmission power,sensitivity,size and power consumption of the equipment,to demonstrate and select the hardware implementation plan,the ARM(Advanced RISC Machine,Advanced Simplified Instruction Set Machine),FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)and RF agile transceiver are the main framework of the core platform,and the main indicators are theoretically calculated and demonstrated.Based on the selection of core devices,the hardware design and implementation of the terminal host are carried out.The problems of heat dissipation and in-board interference encountered during hardware debugging are analyzed and solved,and the effect is verified in the final product.Finally,through laboratory experiments and actual tests on star-link,the feasibility of the design scheme was verified.
