In order to improve the functional block of the RF transceiver and to meet the urgent needs of the various communication model in wireless communication system,the hardware and software is designed and developed in this paper,which is based on the project of the software defined RF transceiver.The system mainly includes four parts: The first is the matlab tool in computer,which is used to deal with digital information and complete the modulation or demodulation.The Second is the transmission channel of RF transceiver hardware,through the transmitting link,the baseband signal is modulated to the high-frequency carrier for space transmission.On the contray,the receiving link converts the high requency singal to baseband.The third is the embedded system part.A STM32 microcontroller is used to control the system.A FPGA is used for on board digital signal processing and peripheral driving.The fourth is USB2.0 protocol,which is used as the communication interface between computer and RF transceiver.The interface between Matlab and C language is adopted to complete the top level development.FPGA state machine is used to complete the driver of USB on the board.According to the four parts of the communication system,this paper is mainly designed and elaborated from the following aspects: First,the system's overall program architecture and system data storage architecture.Second,the control methods of host computer software for the RF transceiver and the interface design between the both.Third,the combination of software and hardware for the design of simple signal generator,spectrum analysis module and the module of modulation or demodulation.Fourth,the design of data transceiver cache module which expands the system memory space and provides a guarantee for the scalability of the system.As well as,a lot of measured pictures are provided,which describes the related functions of the module.The design of system's bottom software and communication interface is completed.A preliminary development and test for the PC software is also carried out,which lays a foundation for the following development of the software product.
