Research On Oral Archive Acquisition Process

Due to the far-reaching significance of oral archives in enriching the collection,filling historical gaps,preserving social memory,meeting the needs of diverse archives,and increasing the initiative of archival work,archives across China have increasingly attached importance to the collection of oral archives.By 2019,more than half of the archival agencies around China have conducted oral archival collection.Archives in various regions have carried out oral archive collection projects on different topics based on local characteristics or major historical events,and have achieved certain results.However,the problems caused by the lack of unified and standardized collection process are becoming more and more prominent.Different archives have different collection standards and pay little attention to the collection process.Even if they have carried out related projects,they rarely sum up experiences and form a unified and standardized collection process.Therefore,it results in the uneven quality of the collected oral archives,which is a huge hidden trouble for the subsequent storage and utilization.In view of this phenomenon,the author took the oral archives collection process as the research object,and conducted in-depth research from aspects of concept combing,actual work analysis,process design,and case practice.Firstly,through the review and analysis of the existing literature,this work drew a conclusion that the study of oral archives in recent years has gradually developed from theoretical analysis to practical work;however,the number of documents for the oral archives collection process is still insufficient.Secondly,according to the actual implementation of oral archives collection by local archives,this work summarized and analyzed the problems existing in the actual collection process at this stage.Finally,the shortcomings of the actual work are reflected in the collection process design of this work,and a reasonable solution is proposed and applied to actual cases to verify the scientificity and feasibility of the entire collection process.The rise and development of oral archives is a concrete manifestation of the contradiction between the increasing demand for archives and the decline in the quality of archives.In order to ensure the quality of oral archives and the subsequent development and utilization,maximizing the value of oral archives and analyzing the process of collecting oral archives are urgent.Through the study of the collection process of oral archives and the actual work situation,this work attempted to build a standard,scientific and normative collection process of oral archives,and provided ideas and references for the research of oral archives collection work.
