| After the reform and opening up,the Chinese mainland has entered a period of accelerating social transformation,and the demand for land resources in cities is increasing day by day.As the limited state-owned land resources become increasingly scarce,"demolition" has become a booster of the urbanization process,and "demolition and relocation of households" has attracted the attention of the media.In the media-oriented society,how the media reproduce the image of relocated households not only affects the identity of the relocated households on their own image,but also affects the public's cognition and judgment on the relocated households and activities of demolition and even the social harmony and stability.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to discuss the media image of relocated households.This paper selects the perspective of diachrony research,and takes the news reports of the People's Daily,a mainstream media in China,on the relocation of Chinese households from 1978 to 2019 as the research object.Based on the frame theory,use the content analysis and the discourse analysis,this paper makes a systematic interpretation of the media image of the relocated households in China.The research results show that the People's Daily reports related to relocated households mainly appeared in the new century,in-depth reporting,news dispatch and feature story as the main news genre,focused on the conflict issues as well as urban and rural reconstruction theme,reporters and news media and official source always outstanding,appreciate and happiness image is given priority to,with the least negative image.In China,the media image of "demolition and relocation households" is not unchanged,and a series of changes have taken place in the past 42 years.From 1978 to 1991,the relocated households mainly appeared as "supporters" who took the overall situation into consideration.From 1992 to 2001,the image of relocated households as"beneficiaries" and "unfortunates" in the development wave was significantly strengthened.From 2002 to 2011,the dispossessed households were mainly reappeared as the "weak" in the game of forced demolition and anti-demolition.From 2012 to 2019,the media image of relocated households has shown an obvious negative and diversified trend.There are three general characteristics in People's Daily's reproduction of the images of evicted households.Firstly,it is mainly present the positive image of the reconstruction of the beautiful and harmonious families.Secondly,the political orientation of the news report is obvious,and the subjectivity of the demolition families is weakened.Thirdly,there are traces of the image "stereotyped" reproduction,and the images of the demolition families reproduced in the same theme are somewhat rigid.These characteristics are mainly influenced by the nature of media,discourse power and ideology.At the same time,this paper puts forward some suggestions for the mainstream media to better reproduce the image of relocated households in the future.Moderately strengthen the positive image,and uphold correct public opinion guidance.Adjust the information source of news report,and pay attention to balance the topics of report.Respect individual image difference,add humanistic care. |
