| The style of news review has lasted for a hundred years,with the core features of narration and comment,taking into account the length of reports and comments,has a glorious history of "almost all major newspapers have this column" in the history of the newspapers of the Republic of China.Then,it has become a powerful tool for analysis the situation and strengthen our people.Since the founding of New China,it focused on the contents of "economic review","political review" and "major events review",and has been active in major newspapers,plays a very important propaganda and public opinion guide function,and that's an important part of the core competitiveness of mainstream media.However,facing the emergence and development of new media,the competition in the news industry is becoming increasingly fierce,and the mutual impact and squeeze among the media are increasing.The value of news review is also suspected.Some people think that it is difficult to catch readers' attention,and there are relatively high demand,high risk,and high cost of the "three high" styles in the editing process.So in practice,some newspapers even have a tendency to "de-review".So,what's the development status of the news review ? What are the development trends? Based on these,this article collected 137 news reviews published by the Xinhua News Agency in between 2018 and 2019,as a sample,supplemented by relevant statistical tools,from the published time and the number,length,subject distribution,content,object and so on,to understand the overall situation ofXinhua News Agency's use of news review.Then,with the help of van dijk's theory of discourse analysis,analyzes and summarizes the discourse features of Xinhua News Agency's news review from the three perspectives of macro,micro,style and rhetoric.The Research found that the Xinhua News Agency's review article mainly presents three characteristics in terms of discourse expression: First,the content focuses extensively on major topics,and the series of review articles cover politics,economy,culture and other fields related to national life,especially the publicity activities involving major topics,which is the writing focus of Xinhua News Agency review articles.In terms of specific writing,they usually focus on the "small" and embody the themes from the small.Second,the related control structure highlights the macro theme.The Xinhua News Agency's review articles in the macro and micro text structure have their commonly used structural models.The realization of the theme structure at the macro level is dominated by the relevant control structure,that is,the relevant case materials are organized around the core theme and completed the article in the controlled organization.On the micro level,the macro propositions are finally derived through the gradual deduction and generalization of propositions that have logical or meaning relations.Third,the creative expression creates a unique style.Xinhua News Agency's review articles are all innovative and unique in their use of vocabulary,sentence patterns,and rhetorical quotes.In terms of vocabulary,words that highlight the theme and sense of time are used to reflect the sense of time and freshness;in the sentence pattern,declarative sentences are mainly used to express facts opinions,and interrogative,exclamatory and imperative sentences are also interspersed to make the language of the article vary.In addition,the use of multiple rhetorical techniques,mixed quotes and data not only highlights the objectivity and authenticity of the text,but also embodies the vividness and drama of the text.Under the combined effect of the above characteristics,the unique discourse style of Xinhua News Agency's review articles was formed.As the national news agency,Xinhua News Agency has its uniqueness and advantages in the application of news review.Of course,there are also some problems,such as more focus on the political and economic fields,and have a tendency of thematic imbalance,but its discourse characteristics can still provide some reference value for the practice of the news discourse of other newspapers at all levels.Especially at present,our society is undergoing a magnificent transformation,with profound changes taking place in the fields of economy,politics,society and culture.In the process of transformation,there are many new things and new topics that need to be given reasonable guidance.The style of news review provides fresh,profound and unique insights by combining the report news with commentary,helping the audience to deepen their understanding of the social significance of facts.Therefore,we should pay full attention to and apply the style of news review to unleash its unique advantages and value. |
