The Practice Of Intercultural Communication Under The Tension Of International Relations

This is a cross-cultural study focus on the first-time TV argument between two anchors,Trish Regan from FOX Business and Liu Xin from CGTN,on the topic of U.S.-China trade conflicts.It adopted the three-dimensional model of discourse analysis invented by Norman Fairclough and the social cognitive prospective of Teun A Van Dijk.By using the video texts of fox,CGTN programs,the international media reports on the Internet and the audience network comments on the international social media,this paper analyzes the argument from three dimensions:text,discourse practice and social practice.Communication and contacting is an important way to resolve misunderstandings.In the face of all aspects of containment in the United States,releasing goodwill and explaining your own views in the form of argument will help to eliminate misunderstandings and enhance mutual trust,which is the value of the "Liu-Regan Argument".With the development of the theoretical system of international communication,cross-cultural concepts such as "Intercultural" have injected new momentum into it,and thus the manifestations of international communication have become more flexible and diverse.Based on the actual needs of China's international communication,this study explores the feasible path of bridging the relevant cross-cultural concepts with the international communication practice of China's major issues.It is found that highly politicized issues tend to have deliberately shaped value divisions in order to create a cognitive "value bias".The cross-cultural argument helps to eliminate this bias.By reviewing the evolution of core concepts from the perspective of value neutrality,cross-cultural argument can help international public opinion to break away from the stereotype of value judgment,guide it to return to the normal track of rationality and construction,and then deepen mutual empathy and empathy,and finally make the conflict and dimension drop.Under the concept of dialogue,active discourse intervention helps to neutralize conflict,controversy and emotional texts,and reshapes argument into a kind of equal,peaceful and conversational text.The cognitive framework of the West stems from its discourse practice for a long time,and is constantly adjusted in this practical movement to strive for more extensive dissemination and diffusion,which is likely to lead to the same frequency resonance in the field of international public opinion.Therefore,a comprehensive grasp of the historical origin,internal essence and far-reaching influence of major international issues is the prerequisite for the separation of ideological labels and the active discourse intervention.Behind the discourse conflict is the game of power,which embodies the discourse domination and the restriction of development right of the original modernity to the post modernity.Because it is related to the distribution of power and the reorganization of interests,in order to avoid violent conflicts and persuade the former to accept peacefully,we must recognize the reasonable elements in the western modernity discourse system and criticize its stubborn and narrow elements.Only through this kind of inheritance criticism can we complete the innovation,transcendence and Sublation of modernity discourse,and respond to the world's query on the modernity of China's development path.
