Analysis Of China International Radio's Reports To TurKey

China Radio International(CRI)is a state-owned international radio broadcaster of China.Its overseas reporting involves 65 languages.Guided by the Glocalization commu-nication strategy,China Radio International keeps pace with the development of the new media.In 2003,the website-"Turkish version of CRI online" was established.In recent years,the program production office in Istanbul and the CRITURK brand have been estab-lished.Through a series of practices,a good communication effect has been obtained.This article uses content analysis method to analyze CRI's reportings to Turkey.The research sample of this article includes the textual news contents on the website-"Turkish version of the CRI online" from February 2019 to March 2019 and the video contents on YouTube CRITURK channel from December 2018 to March 2019.The topics of political news included the National People's Congress(NPC)and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference(CPPCC),the Spring Festival,the Xin-jiang Education and Training Center,and the event of "Silk Road Celebrities in China".Sample reports of these major events have important research significance.Through research,it has been found that,in terms of the construction of a national image,CRI tried to establish a positive and powerful image of China to Turkey in its news reports.Among them,CRI attaches great importance to the reportings on the Xinjiang is-sues,because the Xinjiang issues have always been the Chinese topic that Turkey pays most attention to.In the process of reporting on the Xinjiang issues,CRI actively respond-ed to international concerns in culture,tourism,economics and many aspects.CRI trys to restore a positive,developing,beautiful,and authentic image of Xinjiang to foreign jour-nalists and the international community.However,most of the textual reports are the trans-lations from the Xinhua News Agency's reports,which has the weakness of insufficient localization of communication.But since the CRI established the program production of-fice in Turkey and hired local employees to create contents that meets the tastes of local audiences,these attempts and efforts have achieved good communication results.This also makes up for the lack of localization.As China 's international communication starts to adopt the "one country,one policy" strategy,CRI's international communication experi-ence to Turkey is worth to be consulted.
