| In recent years,China's comprehensive national strength has developed rapidly,and it has played more and more roles in the international arena,which will naturally attract more attention worldwide.According to statistics,overseas media have continuously increased their coverage of China.Similarly,in recent years,the Chinese media has continuously “exported” China-related reports from foreign media to Chinese audiences as part of international news,providing a "window" for Chinese audiences to understand China's image in the international community.National image reflected from foreign reports has always been the focus of the Chinese government and the news media,meanwhile,the Chinese media's dissemination of overseas news about China is also very important in the research field.Based on the international China-related report published by Global Times from 2015 to 2017,this paper explores the intermedia agenda setting effect between foreign media and Chinese media,and also aims to study the news domestication in Chinese media.The propose of this paper is to learn about the international image of China that Chinese audience received from those reports and its development between 2015 to 2017.This paper uses content analysis as research method to analyze the sample reports from respects of number of reports,the source of media and country,the Chinese and foreign attitudes in the report and the domestication degree.From the statistic,The “international opinion about China” that Chinese audiences have exposed in reports published by Global Times is richer and more diverse in the aspects of news quantity and source.The Chinese media is simultaneously disseminating the Chinese issues hotly debated by foreign media to Chinese audiences.It is worth noting that,from 2015 to 2017,Global Times' domestication of China-related reports published by foreign media has gradually decreased,which means Chinese audiences have received more information direct from foreign media.Moreover,there is a high degree of independence between China issues,Chinese domestication and attitudes both from foreign and Chinese media.To sum up,the international opinion of China that the Chinese audience has learned from China-related reports presented by Chinese media is rich and diverse,and has an objective reference value. |
