Xinjiang Daily's Visual Construction Of Xinjiang Minority Image

National image is related to national identity.It has a great significance to national development.Especially in the context of the Belt and Road era,Xinjiang has become an important strategic zone connecting the economic and cultural development of Asia and Europe.Xinjiang's development has gathered the world's attention.Therefore,the research on the image of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang seems particularly necessary and urgent.The presentation and dissemination of national images depends on the mass media.In the "world image era",pictures are already the best means of mass culture communication.The paper media mainly rely on news photos to gain attention.Therefore,based on the Xinjiang Daily news photos,this article uses quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to analyze the visual construction of Xinjiang minority images.This article is divided into four parts.The first two chapters are the first part of this article.It mainly summarizes the research background,research significance,related basic concepts and relevant research literature of the ethnic minorities in Xinjiang.It also introduces the research content and research methods of this article,and The selection of the sample was explained,and the category construction of the sample was summarized;Chapters 3 and 4 are the second part of this article.According to the content of the news photo and the form of the picture-the photo shooting paradigm,the selected news photos are quantitatively analyzed.The content analysis of the picture presentation of news photos is carried out from two aspects: the photos reflect the theme and the behavior of the main characters.The analysis of the presentation form of the screen is based on the photo shooting paradigm,that is,the size of the news photo,the shooting height,the expression tendency of the main character of the screen,and the gender of the main character of the screen.After analyzing the content of news photos,it was found that the news photos of Xinjiang Daily are mainly based on positive propaganda when constructing the image of Xinjiang's ethnic minorities,and they have constructed a national image of "united,harmonious,progressive".The specific manifestations are: thepeople of one heart,and colorful cultural life showed the unity and consistency;Xinjiang ethnic minority youth groups work diligently,and especially portray the modern image of Xinjiang minority women in the new era,and the modern lifestyle of the people advancing with the times.The fifth chapter is the third part of this article,using qualitative methods to semiotically analyze several typical news photos.Through the analysis tools of semiotics,the news photos show the ordinary moments of daily life and work of ethnic minorities,depicting the myth of Xinjiang's self-improvement,fearless hardship and unity among the people of all ethnic groups under the leadership of the party.Thus constructing a nited,harmonious,progressive minority image of Xinjiang.The last part includes Chapters 6 and 7,including conclusions and some issues for the visual construction of Xinjiang minority images,and correspondingly proposes the improvement path and measures including news report level and photo shooting level,hoping to practice the visual construction of media images Provide some ideas.
