Mass media's competition,the new attack of digital photography wave,coupled with the vigorous development of Internet image transmission,has made modern media into a new era of picture transmission.Whether it is newspapers,magazines or television and other traditional media,or the rapid development of the network media in recent years,these mass media are given an important place in the news picture.Any readable material,if lack the existence of the picture,is lack the appeal to the audience and visual impact.Since entering the era of reading the picture,people's reading method has been a changed,and focused on the picture rather than writing.News pictures are often regarded as faithful recorders and effective tools for reproducing news events because of their documentary function.Therefore,in news reports,the news picture has a wide range of applications.However,from the point of view of production and communication,the news media are the producers and communicators of news pictures,and the tendency of different news agency powers and political power is bound to influence the production,selection and dissemination of news pictures.So,from this level,the news picture is not only a way of information dissemination,it is a carrier of ideology.It can be said that all kinds of power to hide behind the news picture,everywhere.In the concept of transparent representation,the picture can be an objective and fair reproduction of real life.The picture is by virtue of its innate "authenticity",it is more able to a deceived,not easy to use the way for the use of power.In the field of visual culture research,the so-called objective,fair and neutral views are built up,so that the news picture,whether from the expression of the paradigm,content or form,which always have all kinds if connection of power.There are a lot of researches on the practical problems of Foucault's theory of micro-power,but most of them are applied to the study of film,television or classicalnovels.But image research is very few,so the use of this study is particularly necessary and more valuable,not only to expand the field of research,but also for other types of future research to provide meager some experience.In this study,it is the purpose and the core of this paper to analyze how microcosmic power is reflected in the process of production and dissemination of news pictures and the reaction of news photos to power.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction which clarifies the purpose and value of the topic,the background of the research and the literature review and the definition of the related concepts.The second part mainly reviews the Foucault's micro-power;The third part expound the power's microcosmic way of the news photos.The fourth part discuss the news photos in the production process contains the power and discipline,intended to explain the power 's control of the news picture generation and dissemination of the scope,as well as micro-power in the news of the news in the text of the text of the micro-way;How the photo is reflected in the process of production and dissemination;The fifth part set forth the news picture's counter force to the power,intended to show that the photo itself is also contending the power,rather than let the power of mercy,it is also the power of the perpetrators.
