In the new era of We Media,with the help of the rapid development of We Media such as mobile phones,micro-blog,We Chat and other Internet social media applications have increasingly become indispensable channels for information exchange and communication in people's life.In particular,with the rapid development and popularization of We Media terminals such as mobile phones,short video,which enjoys development through We Media platforms,has quickly grown into a popular Internet video industry.It can be said that the emergence of We Media short videos has created a new and more convenient visual communication form while exerting a huge impact on the industry of mass media in the age of Internet.In particular,it has substantially expanded the channels and means for the transmission of contemporary news information.Through the case analysis method,this thesis briefly introduces the background,purpose,significance and research status of this selected topic,and describes in detail and illustrates the development status and characteristics of We Media short videos and “Light Video” of Bilibili.It is found that the development status of We Media is characterized by the emergence of multiple platforms in industry competition,inflow of a large number of entrepreneurs,customized advertisement and marketing means,and attracting a lot of capital investment.The thesis also summarizes the development status of the app of “Light Video” and offers concrete explanations on “light” from the author's own perspectives.This thesis analyzes the communication capacity of the app “Light Video” from such perspectives as audience,content,channels,and effects,and summarizes its unique characteristics from the three aspects of diversified audience roles,powerful bullet screen effects,and convenience and responsibility in the process of communication.Targeting problems emerging in the operation process of “Light Video”,this thesis focuses on the analysis of content,and offers suggestions on the development of the short video industry in the end.Similar to Tik Tok and Kuaishou,the app “Light Video” is also a kind of short video app and “Light Video” in the thesis refers to the name of the app.Through the analysis of the app “Light Video”,the author hopes to find a new path of innovation for the development of short videos to provide a new line of thinking for the development of the short video industry without being limited to such popular short video models as Tik Tok.However,the emergence of "Light Video" does not mean that the development of the We Media short video industry in China is perfect and many problems remain unsettled.
