Urban Travel survey,as the core content in traffic investigation,can show the travel characteristic of residents.It could be used to find the travel demands and problems of urban residents by combining social and economic attribute of resident and the result of survey,which will provide scientific guidance for future urban transport planning.Traditional surveys could not meet the current demand of modern urban travel with many disadvantages,such as high cost,low efficiency,inaccuracy of data and difficulty in analyzing.The development of GPS makes it possible to collect travel data efficiently and accurately.However,it is also with unavoidable drawbacks.Smart-phone which is always charged and carried with user gained popularity in the travel survey because of its high penetration rate and convenience.Meanwhile,The mobile data traffic will be under explosive growth,and solve a series of problems lying in the traditional travel surveys.As a result,it is an urgent problem to research on designing an integrated system which can collect,manage and analyze travel data efficiently and cost-effectively based on smart-phone.However,Most researches are based on GPS data or cellular data,with many existing disadvantages.Based on the above analyses,this thesis designed and implemented a travel survey system including stop detection and characteristic extraction on smart-phone,and mainly focused on the modeling of travel data and stop detection,and finally a demonstration was also given.The main research work in this thesis are as follows:(1)Through the analysis of the existing problems in travel survey,and the requirements analysis of travel survey based on smart-phone,the overall architecture and function of smartphone-based travel survey & characteristic extraction are designed.(2)Combining the technical principle and advantages of phone's multiple sensors,this thesis emphasized the the importance and necessity of model establishment based on motion parameters of phone.A novel stop detection based on motion parameters of phone is proposed which can solve the problem of GPS data loss indoor and instability of locator data.(3)With the mass data collected by the smartphone-based travel survey system,a novel individual-based travel characteristic extraction model and method is proposed,which can extract the comprehensive feature and regulation of travel.To find the travel hotspots in city,a method based on Centroid-linkage AGNES algorithm is proposed which can provide the scientific basis to guide the urban transport planning.(4)A stop detection and characteristic extraction system based on travel survey with phones is designed and implemented by using Java Web platform,mobile phone APP platform,map services and other key technologies.
