An Analysis On Poverty Alleviation Report Of Inner Mongolia Daily(2014—2018)

Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the party and the government have lifted the work of poverty alleviation and development to an unprecedented new height.In the past five years,China has reduced poverty by more than 68 million people,and achieved remarkable results in poverty alleviation.However,there are still some deep-poor areas that have not been able to get rid of poverty.The “short board” that complements ethnic areas,border areas,old revolutionary base areas,and contiguous areas of poverty has become the most hard difficulty to overcome.For a long time,the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,a minority frontier region,has been the main battlefield for poverty alleviation.The Inner Mongolia Daily,as the party committee of the autonomous region,has an irreplaceable important role in poverty alleviation information transmission,poverty alleviation policy propaganda and public opinion guidance.First of all,this paper briefly reviews the development process and current situation of poverty alleviation in Inner Mongolia.After that,this paper uses content analysis method,text analysis method and word frequency analysis method to study the poverty alleviation report of Inner Mongolia Daily from 2014 to 2018,from the quantities of reports,report layout,report genre,contribution source and attribution,reporting field,reporting areas,reporting topics,reporting perspectives,and reporting keynotes explored the construction of poverty alleviation issues in the Inner Mongolia Daily,a local party newspaper.Summarize the characteristics of the report of the Inner Mongolia Daily's poverty alleviation report: the quantities of reports is large,the reports tend to be normalized;the multi-faceted layout highlights the importance of the issue;the news and newsletter is the main focus,the series reports are attached;the coverage topics are broad,and the poverty alleviation stories are typical.The originality and self-edit rate are high,the media has the right to speak;the reporting field is concentrated,focusing on the development of poverty-stricken areas;highlighting the government-centered positive publicity;focusing on news citations.However,the Inner Mongolia Daily still has some shortcomings in the poverty alleviation report.Therefore,the author starts from the reality and puts forward some suggestions for improvement in order to better play the role of agenda setting and public opinion guidance,and help the Inner Mongolia region to get rid of poverty as soon as possible.
