A Study On The Congress Of Chinese Poetry From The Perspective Of Media Rituals

In recent years,China's variety shows have flourished and developed,but many entertainment variety shows have problems of over-entertainment,homogeneity and even plagiarism.The appearance of cultural variety shows such as "China Poetry Congress" has improved this situation.The Chinese Poetry Congress,in the form of poetry competition,provides universal education to Chinese poetry culture,which not only attracts the attention of the industry and the masses,but also attracts many scholars to study it.However,there are still few achievements from the perspective of media rituals.James W.Carey divides communication into transmission concept and ritual concept in Communication as Culture.After that,Nick Couldry put forward the media rituals,which is a formalized behavior organized around the most critical categories and boundaries related to the media.By using the methods of literature research and case analysis,this paper combines the media ritual theory with the Chinese Poetry Congress,and makes an in-depth analysis of the time,space,participants,symbolic symbols and ritual performances of the Chinese Poetry Congress.This paper argues that the Chinese Poetry Congress,through the treatment of ritual time,makes ritual time higher than other times,highlighting the importance of the program;ritual space includes ritual exhibition platform,ritual psychological field,etc.,and specific media ritual space creates the ritual atmosphere of the program;The hosts,guests,contestants and audiences inside and outside the Chinese Poetry Congress jointly participated in and established the media ceremony;the audience used the symbols of poems to interact and establish their feelings in the experience and sharing,and also determined their belief in the theme of the ceremony;and the ritual performances such as chanting and competition,enabled performers and audiences to establish a unique significance exchange system.Form identification and resonance.Through the media ceremony of "Chinese Poetry Congress",people participated in it,inherited classics of poetry and shared common memories of Chinese history;disseminated traditional virtues such as honesty,patriotism,fraternity and other traditional Chinese virtues and revolutionary spirit of optimism,activeness and serving the people;helped people confirm the public order and good customs of society,and constructed public order and good customs to promote social harmony and stability.From the perspective of media rituals,we can find that there are still some problems in the program,such as unclear theme of rituals,single content of rituals and inadequate construction of exhibition platform.It is suggested that the theme of rituals should be defined,the diversity of ritual contents should be increased,and the construction of ritual exhibition platform should be strengthened in order to create better programs to serve the audience and society.From the perspective of media rituals,this paper investigates the Chinese Poetry Congress,which will provide some reference for the combination of media rituals and the Chinese Poetry Congress in theoretical sense,and provide new academic research ideas and perspectives.In practical sense,through the study of the media ritual construction of the "Chinese Poetry Congress",this paper points out the advantages and disadvantages of the program,and puts forward some practical suggestions,which can provide some help for the practice of the program,and then expand the social influence of the program and promote social harmony and stability.
