Wireless sensor network(WSN)has many application features,such as large-scale deployment of nodes,self-organizing networks,dynamic network topology,reliability of data and transmission,and high integration of sensor nodes.It is widely applied in military monitoring,environmental monitor,outer space exploration and so on.Energy consumption of WSN is a hotspot in domestic and abroad nowadays,and the performance of WSN routing protocol has a direct impact on the life cycle of wireless sensor network.Based on the study and summary of the existing routing protocols,research shows that the design of cluster routing protocol can prolong the life cycle of WSN effectively,and the method of cluster-head selection is one of the key points of cluster routing protocol.This paper focused on the research of cluster-head selection for wireless sensor network routing protocol.On the basis of the LEACH protocol,a better cluster-head selection protocol was designed based on the node centripetal routing protocol,with the character to solve the deficiencies of the LEACH protocol on uneven node distribution,different energy loss and uncertain temperature variation.By calculating the centripetal force,energy residuals and the comprehensive values of the node,it can reduce the energy consumption of the nodes and improve the reliability of network data.On the other hand,aiming at the problem of too much redundant information in the WSN causing excessive collection of redundant information,a cluster head selection protocol for dormancy of redundant nodes is designed.By calculating the perceptual coverage of each node perception region and the similarity of transmission data,the redundant nodes are selected for dormancy processing to reduce the overlapping of the monitoring information collection,thus reducing the network load and improving the effective utilization of node energy and the overall performance of the network.Using OPNET network simulation tool for simulation experiments,the simulation results show that the improved algorithm can improve the energy utilization,the timeliness of data transmission,and prolong the life cycle of the network.
