With the arrival of big data era,visualization emerges as the times require.Although visualization has brought a series of performance improvement,the explosive growth of virtualized infrastructure has caused sharp shrink in available MAC address space.In the meantime,there are multiple problems in the traditional MAC address structure itself.Therefore,a variety of new structures of MAC address have been put forward.Although,assigning theses new MAC address manually is unrealistic for the constantly extended scale of network.If new MAC address in each network device requires to be assigned manually,it could cause a big waste of time and a high probability of address conflict and configuration mistakes.Therefore,it is worthy to study further on allocation scheme for these new MAC address.Among many new MAC address structure,structure of MOOSE address can not only provide location information for actual devices,but also be assigned dynamically and only occupy local address space.Therefore,address allocation scheme based on MOOSE address with corresponding virtual machine migration scheme is studied in this thesis.And the primary work of this thesis is as follows.1)Aiming at confliction and management problem in MOOSE allocation scheme,a MOOSE address allocation scheme based on switches is proposed in this thesis.Through selecting designed switch and backup designed switch,centralized control and management can be realized in this thesis.In the meantime,the way hosts apply for their own address proposed by this thesis can reduce burden on the edge switches which need to rewrite address for hosts in MOOSE allocation scheme.Through OPNET simulation,it can be verify that allocation scheme proposed by this thesis can avoid address conflict and achieve centralized management of assigned addresse.Meanwhile,this scheme is better than MOOSE allocation scheme in end to end delay while it only takes 3 to 4 seconds for switches and hosts to acquire address.So the allocation scheme based on switches proposed by this thesis is feasible.2)In order to reduce protocol traffic caused by DS/BDS selection procedure in allocation scheme proposed previously,another allocation scheme for switches based on server is proposed in this thesis.By sending available address block periodically,server in this allocation scheme can notify switches to apply MOOSE address.In this way,centralized allocation and management can be realized in the allocation scheme based on server proposed in this thesis.Although allocation scheme based on server can be affected by size of address block advertised by server,experiment results show that protocol cost and average allocation time in server based scheme is lower than previous allocation scheme.And it verifies this scheme is feasible.3)To achieve load balance,visual machines usually migrate in network.However,MOOSE address of visual machines could change after migration.Because structure of MOOSE address is based on location of physical devices.Therefore,a live migration scheme based on MOOSE address is proposed in this thesis.By broadcasting free ARP and updating DNS dynamically,network connection of the virtual machine is restored in this scheme.The experiment results show that network connection can be rapidly recovered which indicates proposed live migration scheme is feasible.
