The rapid development of cloud computing and virtualization not only brings a series of performance improvements to data centers,but also brings the exponential growth of virtual facilities,which makes the address space of traditional MAC address insufficient.In addition,the traditional MAC address has many other defects such as permanent lifetime and not support dynamic allocation,which brings many other problems to the data center.The local MAC address proposed by IEEE can effectively solve the above problems.However,there is no research on the automatic allocation of local MAC address in the existing research work,and manual allocation is not realistic especially in the large data center.Therefore,it is significant to research how to efficiently and correctly realize the automatic allocation of local MAC addresses.This thesis mainly focuses on the automatic allocation of local MAC address,and the main work are as follows:1)Centralized address allocation method for local MAC addressThis thesis first proposes a local MAC address allocation method based on centralized address management equipment.The method uses a centralized address allocation server to periodically broadcast address blocks,and realizes automatic allocation and centralized management of local MAC addresses through four stages of address publishing,application,approval,and confirmation.In addition,the proposed method uses a physical unclonable function to generate a unique representation of a network device in the local network.The simulation results based on OPNET platform show that the proposed method has small end-to-end delay,throughput,protocol overhead and packet loss under different network scales,and can achieve good network performance.2)Distributed local MAC address allocation method based on wireless ad hoc networkThere may be a single point of failure problem in the centralized allocation method of local MAC addresses,and the centralized allocation method is not suitable for realizing the automatic allocation of local MAC addresses in a wireless ad hoc network.Therefore,this thesis further proposes a distributed local MAC address allocation method.The proposed method distributes the tasks of address allocation to each node of the wireless ad hoc network,and forms a hierarchical relationship by means of the surrounding nodes applying for addresses to the address allocation node.The simulation results based on OPNET platform show that the proposed method outperforms the centralized method in protocol overhead and address allocation efficiency.3)Secure allocation method for local MAC addressConsidering the security issues such as identity impersonation and data tampering in the proposed centralized local MAC address allocation method,this thesis further proposes a secure allocation method for local MAC address.The proposed method uses a third-party trusted authentication server,and combines the public key cryptosystem and the symmetric key algorithm to achieve dual authentication between the server and the client.Based on OPNET and OpenSSL,this thesis simulates the centralized local MAC address allocation method that introduces the security authentication method.The experimental results show that the local MAC address allocation method combined with the security allocation method can achieve good network performance.
