In order to solve the problems of tedious operation,poor mobility and low flexibility of the vector network analyzer(VNA)in the entire measurement process including calibration and testing,and to meet the development needs of combining experimental instruments with the Internet technology to develop intelligent instrument platform,a wireless mobile measurement system based on Android for the VNA is proposed.The measurement system includes two parts: the calibration and test device for the VNA and the mobile application for the remote measurement operation.The calibration and test device consists of a standard calibration component,a calibration control circuit,a test control circuit and a wireless control circuit.The calibration and test device serves as the hardware foundation for the system and provides a hardware environment for calibration and test.The calibration control circuit is used to switch and select the corresponding standard calibration component according to the calibration signal for controlling VNA,and the calibration work is performed sequentially according to the SOLT calibration method of the VNA.This method that uses the microprocessor to control the RF switch to replace the traditional knob calibration component is beneficial to reduce the systematic errors and measurement deviations,which is caused by the wear of the VNA port and the standard calibration component during the measuring process.And the system can also be propitious to improve system's degree of automation.The remote control mobile application for calibration and test is the direct interaction object for operators.All operating commands of the system during the measuring process are sent by the application,then the VNA and the calibration test device are controlled to perform specific operations according to commands.The connection module,measurement parameter setting module,calibration module,result output module and measurement analysis module are integrated in the application.After the system is connected,the measurement parameters are set completely according to requirements,and then the calibration is ready to perform according to the VNA calibration steps.The calibration and test device is controlled to switch the test base to connect the device under test into the VNA for testing,the test results also can be obtained at the analysis module finally.After the system was installed and debugged,the calibration experiment with the center frequency of 203.528 MHz and the test experiment of the surface acoustic wave device with the center frequency of 101.764 MHz were performed.The experimental results show that the measurement system can be applied to complete the connection between the VNA and the intelligent mobile terminal,and control the VNA to set the calibration parameters and realize calibration function.This system also can be used to realize the device test and the measurement results analysis and output.
