After the " Lugouqiao" incident,the Japanese army invaded China on a large scale,leading coastal and riverside big cities to a terrible disaster,causing a devastating blow to the local newspapers.However,people in the inland areas far away from the war were indifferent to the war,and some were even deluded by rumors of traitors.In order to preserve the strength of the newspaper industry,and play a propaganda role in uniting the masses and inspiring their enthusiasm and patriotism as well as the faith to overcome the Japanese invaders,some newspapers entered rural areas and remote towns,where the commodity economy was less-developed.When entering the rural areas,the newspaper encountered a completely different dilemma from the city,which also brought great challenges to the survival of them.In order to cope with the embarrassment with the geographical environment,material conditions and reader groups,those newspaper had made many adjustments in the selection of materials,sources of news,layouts,contents,writing styles and distributions,and finally a new medium with rural spatial characteristics had been formed.It was not only a continuation of the life of the urban newspaper after entering the countryside,but also a new media after being adjusted and changer in the face of space transfer.By describing the historical picture of the unique media movement called "Newspapers Entering the Rural Areas".This paper was aimed to understand the vivid and complicated landscape of interaction and blending between newspapers and the society.
