With the era of universal reading,children's reading and children's library began to receive attention from all walks of life.Many cities has established their own children's library or have children's department in public librarys.Guidelines for Children's Library Services says,until now children's library has never been such important to children and their family.Excellent children's library can help children learn to get the ability of lifelong learning and information indexing in order to participate in the society and make contribute to the whole society.I think it's important for children's library's leaders to make efforts to improve its serves to attract children and their parents to walk into the library to read books,love reading and then develop lifelong learning habits.This article will use the way of documentation study methods,on-the-spot investigation method,the questionnaire methods and so on to find out how to improve libraries' service system.I'll use the experience of American,European countries and and Japan's children's libraries for reference,and study from Hongkong Children's Library,Yingkou Children's Library,Hangzhou Children's Library,Shanghai Children's Library and Tianjing Children's Library excellent experience to carry out the service for children to help them to have fun in books.This article has mainly studied Ningbo Children's Library's current service system and innovation of the service system.I'll use the theory of public policy and public management and the excellent experience of the advanced cities to study Ningbo Children's Library's current service system and then find out the disadvantageous and challenges.I'll finger out 7 ways to improve Ningbo Children's Library's current service system.Firstly the government should make policy to ensure that Ningbo Children's Library have sufficient resource to carry out its serves for children.Secondly,Ningbo Children's Library should improve the quality of the personnel.Thirdly,Ningbo Children's Library should establish the system of personal responsibility.Fourthly,Ningbo Children's Library should teach children how to read using the graded series of books.Fifthly,Ningbo Children's Library should improve its information service.Sixthly,Ningbo Children's Library should carry out various activities to approve children's reading ability and lastly,should make effort to a long and successful partnership with universities and other cultural organizations.
