With the rapid development of radar technology,the number of radar types has increased day by day.Radar test interfaces and signal models are also varied.Different radars are equipped with different test system.This situation not only increases the economic investment of radar maintenance organization,but also greatly limits its prospects for more types of maintenance.This topic takes an example of a radar maintenance organization's project named 'development of a multi-type general automatic test system'.Based on the study of the development of an automatic test system,radar test technology,and automatic test software design,it can develop a multi-type universal automatic test system based on PXI/PXIE + LXI.The system can not only solve the problems existing in the organization,but also meet the different types of radar test through supporting parts.It is of great significance to solve the problem of radar test extension in radar maintenance unit.In terms of hardware design,based on studying the development of radar and radar at home and abroad,various types of radar signals are summarized and classified into two categories: high-speed data processing and low-speed data processing.According to the two categories of PXI/PXIE test platform with compatibility and high cost,at the same time,by connecting the peripheral LXI bus equipment,design different types of adapters to build an automatic test system hardware platform.In terms of software design,LabWindows/CVI,an interactive language development platform for instrumentation,was selected for automatic testing system design;According to the principle of universal design,a hierarchical and modular design method is adopted to divide the driving layer,functional layer and application layer from low to high.Using VISA(virtual instrument software structure)technology to coordinate the different interfaces in compatibility and interchangeability,applying multi-threaded technology,the design and implementation of the login module,the self-inspection and self-correction module,the automatic test module,the data management module,the status display module and the construction of an automatic test system was completed.The automatic test system has already delivered to users for multitype radar test.Now the system has good performance,not only meets the user's demand,but also creates great economic benefits.
