Like most high and new technology, the automatic test system is originally developed to meet the needs of the military. The symbol of the birth of the automated test system should be the SETE plans, which was made by US military to solve the problem of equipment maintenance in the mid 50 s. In the 1960 s, the automation test system has been popularized and developed rapidly in the industrial field. Especially the software-centered modular automated test system has become the mainstream, with the advantages of large data throughput, high transmission rate, easy expansion, compact size, high standard and so on.However, this kind of universal automatic test system cannot meet the actual production needs of the enterprises. At present, the main methods of enterprise detection include manual testing, manual measurement, recording and processing of the test results. There are mainly three problems. Firstly, the testing process is complicated and the test cycle is long. And the test results are inefficient with manual recording and manual analysis. Secondly, it's difficult for the working environment of the measured components to maintain consistent. And the working conditions of the tested instruments are difficult to maintain at the same level, which will result in low accuracy. Thirdly, it's difficult to measure certain test indicators(such as independent linearity, output smoothness etc.) by using the existing test instruments. In summary, in order to increase the testing accuracy, improve the test efficiency and improve the product quality, it is necessary to develop a set of automatic test system for this component by using the modern automation testing technology so as to meet the needs of production.According to the developing needs of the project, in-depth analysis of the market demands, and the working principles of the parts to be tested and measured characteristics, this project finally develops a set of automatic test system based on the Lab Windows/CVI platform after repeated program verification and system design. The test system consists of precision test function and buffeting test function. The precision test function is used for rotating transformer and the performance test of the precise angular potentiometer angle sensor. The vibration test function is used to assess the life of the precision angle measuring shaking potentiometer. The test equipment system software should have self checking function, rotating transformer test function, precision angle measuring potentiometer test function and chattering test function.The rotary transformer test function can exactly exam various indicator information, including the insulation resistance, coarse and fine machine precision testing of rotary transformer zero bias, no-load power consumption, coarse and fine machine maximum no-load output voltage, zero voltage and electrical short circuit, open circuit input impedance error, output impedance, phase shift, and the rotation angle measurement system test error. The precise angular potentiometer test function can accurately test the precise angular potentiometer independent linearity, output smoothness, effective electric stroke, insulation resistance, and the voltage test curve angle. The jitter test function can complete the life test of the potentiometer, and use the software to realize the automatic timing, reading and other user control function of the life test. At the same time, the test system can rely on the Access database, and make efficient storage, query, summary and analysis of the data.The test system is highly accurate with short testing time, high efficiency and stable system operation. It achieved good results in the delivery system, greatly improved the measured production quality, and successfully met the expected requirements of the users.
