Analysis Of The Choice Of Media In Cultural Variety Shows Based On Carnival Theory

Under the encouragement and promotion of the policy,a number of outstanding cultural variety shows have appeared in our country,and have occupied the variety shows market rapidly,which has become a clear stream in the variety show of the pan-entertainment era."Readers" is a cultural variety show created by CCTV with sound as the main communication medium and literary classics as the main communication theme.It has been widely praised since its launch in 2017 and has become a phenomenal variety show.In the in-depth study of "Readers",the author found that in addition to the novel themes and expressions,"Readers" also has a lot of places to learn from in media selection.This paper intends to use content analysis and comparative analysis method,and collect the relevant data,sum up the origin and the background of Bakhtin's carnival theory and the development of cultural variety shows,and analyze the culture with "Readers" as the main case.The media selection factor of variety show in the process of communication,and thus the characteristics and rationality of media selection "carnivalization",on this basis,the development strategy of media selection of cultural variety shows.Bakhtin believes that Carnival is a "second world" that is different from real life.It is a place where everyone is equal and free.As a manifestation of popular culture,cultural variety shows have the function of creating a "carnival market".And in terms of media choice,there are many similarities with Bachkin's carnival theory,which is embodied in the nationality,ritual and subversive nature of the act.Such characteristics have prompted cultural variety shows to pay more attention to their diversity,specialization and feedback from the audience in media selection behavior.All in all,the author adopts the total-sub-general structure model,first analyzes the big environment,then goes deep into the individual program,and summarizes the final development strategy in the study and comparison of individuals,with a view to the cultural variety show.The choice of media offers new ideas.
