As a globally popular communication technology,ZigBee has the features of low cost,low power consumption and high capacity.When the ZigBee technology works in 2.4 GHz band,it can have a highest rate of 250 kb/s and reach to a transmission distance over one thousand meters.The module which is assembled by the ZigBee core chips can provide a solution for the wireless communication between two nodes.It is a fundamental criterion for the modular communication,whether the ZigBee RF module index reached the standard.By far there is no relevant verification or calibration specification all around the world.There is even not a clear solution for testing the RF index of ZigBee module,so the traceability problem has to be settled urgently.In order to solve the traceability problem of the ZigBee module,in the research of measurement method to the RF specification of ZigBee module in 2.4 GHz band,the current devices such as Vector Signal Generator,Vector Signal Analyzer,Microwave peak power meter etc.from communication lab in SIMT are used to test the RF specification of ZigBee module of Texas Instrument product family CC253 X.By making the further analysis and research on the measurement method of module sensitivity,the result in experiments conformed to the technical specification from IEEE 802.15.4.It realized the traceability of RF specification in the ZigBee module.In the last part of this paper,for the measurement results of some important parameters,the uncertainty is analyzed.The measurement method obtained by the research and measurement also can be applied to the RF specification test for different type of modules from different manufacturers.It doesn't only meet the customers' different requirements but also contributes the application and development of ZigBee in more fields.
