Research On Group Polarization Of Network Hot Events

In recent years,the phenomenon of group polarization has been extended from the real society to the network platform,due to the characteristic of low threshold and inclusiveness of the Internet.Internet Technology brings great convenience to people's lives,but also makes some social events easier to induce group polarization through the network platform.On the one hand,the pressure of public opinion caused by the polarization of network groups can make some social problems get the attention of relevant departments quickly and promote the successful solution.Regretfully,the pressure of public opinion may also cause network violence,rumors,moral kidnapping,human flesh search and other hazards,which have a great negative impact on people's lives and exchanges,even become a dangerous factor to impact social stability.For the positive effect of group polarization,we should make rational use of it,and for its negative performance,we should prevent it from happening before it happens.The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the formation mechanism of group polarization in network hot-spot events,put forward pertinent methods and countermeasures,reduce the negative influence of group polarization,and promote the construction of a healthy and orderly network environment.The full text mainly includes the following aspects:In the first chapter of the paper,expounds the background of population polarization,related research progress at home and abroad,research methods and the necessity of studying population polarization have been expounded.In the second chapter,which focuses on the concept of group polarization and its harm.the effect of Internet technology on group polarization and the negative manifestations of group polarization have been analyzed,so as to expound the harm of group polarization to social life.In the third chapter,the formation mechanism of group polarization in network hotspot events has been analyzed.In this chapter,the twelve hot-spotevents that occurred in 2018 have been chosen.All of these events have the characteristics of wide range of public opinion dissemination,strong user participation,great social influence and group polarization.By searching for the similarities in these events,and using the relevant theories of communication and psychology to analyze the causes of group polarization.After summarizing and sorting out,this paper expounds this problem from three aspects: society,media and the public.The chapter four,on the basis of chapter three,puts forward targeted countermeasures to prevent group polarization from the three directions of government,network media and the public.The construction of network environment needs three aspects to work together to realize the triple management of legal compulsion,media supervision and moral binding force.
