Learning Chinese is becoming a trend for many foreigners in the world.And learning Chinese vocabulary is one of the keys to learn Chinese well.However,the vocabulary learning software in the market now has many shortcomings such as learning content escapes from the learning environment,which makes puzzles and leads to inefficient learning.To address this problem and improve the learning efficiency,a Chinese vocabulary learning software is designed by automatically generate learning list of Chinese vocabulary from the learning environment using scene understanding algorithm based on deep learning.The algorithm first detects and identifies the objects in the scene image capture by a camera,and generates a vocabulary list that contains candidate Chinese characters for learning from the information of the identified objects.Then each character in the list is related to a set of learning materials from Wikipedia and online searching.The advantage of this method is that it establishes the relationship between vocabulary and objects that in the real scene,so that it can solves the problem that vocabulary learning is out of touch with reality.Finally,a demonstration software is designed and implemented for second-language Chinese vocabulary learning according to the theories of scenario learning and multi-channel learning.The experimental result show that the new software we designed makes the foreigners more engaged in Chinese vocabulary learning,which significantly benefits the learning efficiency,compared to the traditional learning software.
