In recent years,with the acceleration of the pace of urbanization and the improvement of urban living standards,the cultural awareness of urban residents has gradually awakened and the attention to history and culture has given birth to the museum boom.The cultural value of the museum is gradually being valued and recognized.In the past ten years,a large number of new museums have been built in China,most of which are prefecture-level museums.However,in the face of the joy of the newly completed prefecture-level museums,we must consider the prefecture-level museums with a prudent attitude.It is not difficult to find that there are many deficiencies,such as how to develop the city-level based on regional advantages.Museums,how to plan the museum's architectural structure and interior space,how to display exhibitions can highlight local characteristics,museum funding shortages,museums are less attractive to the audience,cultural goods are unattended,and the level of scientific research at local and municipal museums is low.Based on this background,this paper selects the prefecture-level museums in Shanxi Province—the Yuncheng Museum and the Jincheng Museum as the research objects,and compares the two museums.This article has collected a large number of first-hand materials from two museums.Through on-site visits,investigations,observations and comparisons of relevant city-level museums,we try to discover the similarities and differences between the Yuncheng Museum and the Jincheng Museum,analyze and summarize the advantages and disadvantages,and Provide reference and reference for the construction,management and operation of municipal museum.The text of this article is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.This chapter expounds the research background,research significance,research methods and innovation points of this paper.The second chapter discusses the development history and current situation of the Yuncheng Museum.The Yuncheng Museum has been established since its establishment in 2013,and all the work has been carried out smoothly and steadily.At the same time,the architectural style,layout,basic display content,and collection status of the Yuncheng Museum are briefly described in an illustrated manner.The third chapter discusses the development history and current situation of Jincheng Museum.Jincheng Museum's preliminary preparation stage,ten-year search stage,and stable development stage briefly describe the architectural style,overall layout,Chenzhan content,and collection status of Jincheng Museum.The fifth chapter puts forward the problems that are common in prefecture-level museums,and proposes strategies for improvement based on this.First of all,there are problems in the collection of two city-level museums,such as the lack of precision in the work of the collection business and the protection of the collection;the social education work and public service capacity of the museum still needs to be improved;and the degree of cultural product development is low.Finally,the feasible measures are proposed: the museum's collection and storage needs to be strengthened;further improve the professional level of the museum's commentator team;increase the publicity of the museums outside the city and the public service capacity;actively use the regional tourism resources to promote the museum tourism economy.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.Summarize the main conclusions of this paper and put forward the shortcomings.
