A Comparative Study Of Chinese And Foreign LAM Cooperation Projects

Libraries,archives and museums(LAM)as an important public cultural service organization plays an important role in the development of human culture.Due to the different attributes of cultural resources preserved between LAM institutions,agencies will maintain their independence and cannot be confused.The library is part of the Ministry of Culture and is responsible for collecting,organizing and preserving various documents.The three are subordinate to different cultural departments and have different tasks.LAM has always had an independent management system and development strategy,and each of the three departments has its own functions and is in charge of each other.In recent years,with the rapid development of information technology,traditional paper presentation,library search and other service methods have been unable to meet the cultural needs of the public's diversification and individualization.The construction of digital archives,digital museums and digital libraries is coming.The more people get the attention.LAM cooperation is formed by public cultural service organizations to meet the needs of public culture under the influence of information technology and the Internet environment.The cooperation of the three not only effectively protects the historical and cultural heritage,but also promotes the public's exchange and sharing of cultural information resources,and has become a research pot in the academic circle.The cooperation of LAM needs to break the obstacles brought by the different management systems and development strategies of various institutions,screen and integrate the collection resources,and display them on a unified service platform to provide users with cultural information resources services.The US Presidential Library first opened the door to LAM cooperation.The LAM cooperation projects in developed countries began to be in full swing,such as the Digital Public Library of America(DPLA),the National Library and Archives of Canada(LAC),the British,Museums,Libraries Archives Council(MLA),etc.In2002,China also launched the National Cultural Information Resources Sharing Project and the Digital Library Promotion Project.The first chapter of this paper introduces the background of the topic and the significance of the research,including the theoretical and practical significance.The relevant research situation at home and abroad was introduced.And point out the research method of this paper.The second chapter first introduces the theoretical basis of LAM cooperation,the feasibility of cooperation with LAM,and the content and significance of LAM cooperation.The third chapter is mainly to investigate and analyze the excellent foreign LAM cooperation cases.Through literature reading,website research and other methods,the paper analyzes the contents,institutional mission,cooperation mode and platform construction of foreign LAM cooperation projects,and summarizes the characteristics of foreign cases in cooperation mode,resource integration and platform construction.The fourth chapter compares and analyzes the specific contents of the foreign LAM cooperation project,and finds and summarizes the success factors of foreign LAM cooperation.It introduces the four cooperation modes of LAM cooperation in detail,and operate with data from the aspect of resource integration.The integration model and resource preservation were introduced in three aspects.Finally,a comparative study was conducted on the service platform built by the LAM cooperation project.The domestic and international cases will be summarized and summarized.The fifth chapter puts forward strategic suggestions for the development of LAM cooperation projects in China in the cooperation mode,resource organization and platform construction level.The sixth chapter reviews the research work of this paper and summarizes the research content and shortcomings of this paper.
