With the rapid development of computer technology and the popularity of network, the medical field began to construct information system in active. Because of the complexity and distribution in medical field, it is quite difficult to solve the business-level integration of heterogeneous data. This paper presents a resource-based data integration method based on the ontology technology. This paper provides a resource-based at the basis of existing data integration technology, and a "middleware - wrapper" architecture of heterogeneous data integration solutions. This article clearly describes the relationship between levels of resource-based data integration framework and the functions, external interfaces and internal structure of various levels. This method uses Protégéto build the medical field Ontology under the guidance of experts. Through establishing a certain transformation rules, the method translates distributed databases to a local intermediate model. Through a detailed definition of domain ontology and the local intermediate model mapping method, the method also establishes of the relation between them to achieve data integration in both syntax and semantic levels. Building ontology-based data integration model, this paper defines resource meta-model based on domain Ontology, including resource definition and representation. It also elaborates in detail the analysis process of the resources and its rules, including the level constraints, the most important of analysis process. Finally, it gives a brief description of the resource matching algorithms. In the part of system implementation, the author use Java programming language and Jena, as well as other technology such as WebService to achieve the system of heterogeneous data integration model based on methods mentioned in the early parts of this article. It tests these methods by taking a specific scenario in medical field as a test case. Finally, the conclusion is made based on the test results.
