Survey And Analysis Of The Elderly Readers' Service In Public Library Of Nanning

The aging of the population has brought tremendous challenges to our country's politics,economy,and culture.The issue of aging is a major issue related to the national economy and people's livelihood and the long-term stability of the country.As an important public welfare cultural organization,public libraries have an irresistible responsibility.Therefore,starting from the background and basic theory,this paper uses questionnaires,field visits,and other research methods for the seven public libraries in the urban area of Nanning:Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Library,Nanning Library,Nanning Liangqing District.Library,and Nanning City The Qingxiu District Library,the Xingning District Library of Nanning City,the library of Jiangnan District of Nanning City,and the Xixiangtang District Library of Nanning City conducted field surveys and analyzed that the public libraries in Nanning City were developing In the process of serving elderly readers,there are mainly:lack of elderly reading rooms and activity rooms,poor library environment,few document resources suitable for older readers,lack of reading materials and tools for older readers,single activity content,and low service quality.Insufficient promotional work,no setting up of the service department for the elderly readers and other issues.In response to these problems,the paper proposes that public libraries in the urban area of Nanning should build a good library environment by building reading rooms and activity rooms for older readers on the basis of understanding the current status of elderly readers in the library,building old readers'literature resources.and building sound.Reading materials and large-size newspapers and magazines,organize various forms of reader activities for the elderly,carry out education for the elderly,improve the service level of librarians,improve service procedures,do a good job in the promotion of the library,open an elderly reader service department,investigate and study the situation of older readers,and promote the elderly Readers'information literacy and other measures to meet the needs of older readers.
