Goffman,a sociologist,put forward the theory of"Dramaturgy"through the study of symbolic interaction of dramatic perspective,which reveals a kind of all-round control and management of self-presentation in the process of interpersonal communication from outside to inside.This theory opens up a new perspective for the study of interpersonal communication behavior in society,and also introduces the concept of scene into sociology.With the development of media technology,the path of information dissemination based on physical field is broken by the development of media technology.Information dissemination beyond space-time dimension reconstructs the space of social interaction.Under this background,Merowitz combines the concept of scene with the concept of media,and puts forward the concept of media scene.In his view,the scene is an information system built by the media,that is,changing the way of information dissemination will create a new scene.Based on Goffman's"Dramaturgy Theory"and Merowitz's media scene theory,this paper extends the research field to the current social media environment,and explores the new changes of people's self-presentation in the new scene brought about by social media technology.In order to clarify the changes of impression management in the new situation,this paper mainly takes a typical case——"Buddhist Youth"group as the research object.Based on Goffman's theoretical framework of self-presentation,this study analyzed the impression management of"Buddhist youth"in the social media scene from four parts:scene front-end presentation,regional behavior,background control and impression management measures.The results show that in the front stage of social media scenes,the performance identity changes from a performance element to a performance script,that is,identity becomes the whole performance,and the specific presentation of"Buddhist Youth"can be divided into four categories:ritualized presentation of daily life;sharing of delicate life;emotional expression of life sentiment;and catharsis of negative emotions.In addition,the author finds that there is a dynamic adjustment in the process of identity dissemination of"Buddhist Youth"in the front stage.In the analysis of"Buddhist Youth"scene behavior,the author first finds that"sharing"and "imitation"are two basic behavior habits in social media scene.All scene performances are based on the formation of these two behavior habits.After analyzing the characteristic behavior of"Buddhist youth",the author finds that"self-labeling","self-degradation"and"self-aesthetic"are the three characteristic behaviors of Buddhist youth in social media scene.In behavioral expression,"Buddhist youth"preferred to use expression packages,while through picture sharing and Emoji expression to achieve the richness and emotional extension of expression.In the background control study,the author finds that the acquisition of social sense of life,the construction of emotional buffer and stress regulation are the psychological expectations and exhibition purposes of"Buddhist Youth".There are also some deviations between the role-playing and self-identity of the"Buddhist Youth"because of the different purposes of the performance.Specifically,they can be divided into the weak identity of the compromiser,the partial identity of the concealer and the strong identity of the sharer.At the same time,"Buddhist Youth”in the background of social media scenes through the establishment of absolute private territory and the role of mystery to achieve the scene partition,ultimately to ensure that there is no interference between the front and back stage,to achieve the smooth completion of theatrical performance.The measures of impression management of"Buddhist Youth"are mainly divided into positive external use of"checking" strategy and internal use of"negative"strategy,through evasion and pan-fuzzification to control channel pushing and content presentation,while internal use of negative"desensitization"to deal with stereotypes in scene identity.The joint use of the two measures promotes the acceptance of"Buddhist"scene identity by the individual.From this,the author concludes that the impact of social media scene on impression management is as follows:first,the perception bias and adjustment and diffusion of scene identity;second,the diversification of image presentation and the formation of characteristic behavior;third,the emergence of cognitive differentiation and absolute control;fourth,the coexistence of positive external and negative internal management measures.
